Strength of Christ

In today's world we continually hear the idea of thinking globally.  The problem with this is that often it means thinking secular without regard to faith and scripture.  This has caused much friction between not only churches and secular institutions but among churches themselves.

As Christians our first and foremost responsibility is to remain faithful to Christ and the Gospels.  Showing respect for others is a duty but when that respect is a demand to compromise our faith and morals then it is best for the Christian to simply cut ties and walk away.

Christianity is not an easy path today, but then again it never has been.  Our ship of faith has weathered many storms and will continue to.  Since the Resurrection of Christ, Christians have been called in each generation to stand on faith and this is the case today.

May 2015 be a year of great growth of faith and a year our individual walks with Christ strengthen.  Just as a ship on the ocean batters storms, our walk with Christ will as well.  We can take great comfort our captain never lets us down.
